Hello world! Please Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself
In 2005, I transitioned from active duty in the Marine Corps to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams, launching my first blog that same year. For years, I shared my thoughts and experiences through blogging and stayed active on social media. It’s been a decade since my last personal blog, but the time has come to return—to reintroduce myself to the world—because I’m no longer the person I once was.
Over the past few years, my presence on social media has been minimal, especially compared to what it used to be. That’s because I was undergoing a complete God-led transformation—a process I didn’t know how to communicate at the time. It was something deeply personal, meant to be between God and me. Every time I thought I’d reached the end of what He was doing in me, He would peel back another layer, revealing something new. But at the end of 2024, God made it clear: it’s time to write about my journey with Him, because people need to understand what has taken place as they witness what He is going to do through me.
In the last 2 years and 8 months, I’ve been transformed, renewed, healed, and I continue to grow in my faith and relationship with God. Through this blog, I hope to share what’s happened, what I’ve learned, and how the Word of God has come to have first place and final authority in my life.
The format of my posts will include a broad overview to set the stage, including as much backstory as is needed and relevant. From there, I’ll dig deeper into specific moments, events, lessons learned, and revelations that have shaped my transformation.
To help me bring these stories to life, I’ll be going through my journals as source material. They’ll help me recall and capture what it was like at the time and highlight the difference between then and now. That’s the thing—until my circumstances align with the massive overhaul that’s taking place within me, the best way to help you understand the transformation is by sharing what I used to think and feel compared to what I think and feel now.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” This verse has been a cornerstone of my transformation because it truly required a complete renewal of my mind. But it’s important to understand—this didn’t happen overnight, nor did it happen on its own. This isn’t a verse you simply read; it’s one you fully obey, apply, and live out.
That’s what I hope to convey in the posts to come—how the Word of God came alive for me, becoming meaningful, impactful, healing, transformative, and truly life-changing. I’ll share how I learned what it meant, applied it, and how I’m now committed to living it out every day by making it first place and final authority in my life.
